Krystle Ung, PA-C

A young woman with long, wavy hair and a smile, sitting cross-legged on a cozy sofa holding a gray mug. The room has wooden walls, a window letting in natural light, a colorful floral pillow, and framed posters including a map in the background.

Krystle firmly believes that true healing goes beyond managing symptoms, and her own gut health journey is what led her to functional medicine. She is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a specialized focus in functional medicine and gut health, holding a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Applied Nutrition from Northeastern University, followed by a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Rutgers University. Krystle is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).

Krystle’s first encounter with functional medicine occurred when she was struggling with her own digestive issues. After regaining her health, she decided to become a functional medicine PA. Drawing on her unique expertise as a nutritionist and PA, Krystle focuses on gut health and preventative medicine. This cannot be done without honoring our cultural backgrounds—something this field often forgets when we think about health. So, she created her practice to promote and celebrate the cultures and traditions that support our wellness.
